Nowhere in the Alps is there such a density of monumental passes as in Switzerland. You need only think of central Switzerland with its passes around Andermatt, the Berner Oberland with the world-famous triple peaks of the Eiger-Mönch-Jungfrau, the legendary Tremola to the Gotthard in Tessin or the picturesque Engadine with such glorious passes at the Albula. You can explore all these with Epic Climbs in August 2017.

You start in beautiful Interlaken with a fantastic scenery. And besides the high passes you'll also discover little-known marvels well away from the usual tourist trails, such as the Grosse Scheidegg and the Vorder Höhi on the Walensee. So, everything worth anything!

The best of Switzerland in a week!

The Guides

Peter – The Win-Winner

quäldich-Guide Peter Uthmann

Got the luck of the draw in Epic Climbs' 2012 travel survey. Peter came out of the hat first. So the Kid won a trip to Liguria to close the season, something which, as a student, he couldn't otherwise afford. A win-win situation, because he also had guide potential and was keen to do the job. He was quickly hired, of course, and now our team of guides and helpers wouldn't be the same without him.

Jens – The Nature Lover

quäldich-Guide Jens Heuer

Enjoys going to work at 6 in the morning in the winter almost as much as pedalling up and down mountains. Inspired by fellow flatlander Jörg and a massive Epic Climbs fan.

Denny – The Laid-Back One

quäldich-Guide Denny

A loyal client for several years, prefers to ride in the relaxed group. Finally hired as a guide for 2017. His stomping ground is the unforgiving Brandenburger Plain around Berlin.

Getting there

Our start hotel is in the centre of Interlaken.

Cars may be parked all week at the hotel or in a nearby car park (cost: 12 CHF per day).

Via Basel or Zurich - Bern on Switzerland's A6 to the Interlaken-West exit.

We recommend you use our internal forum to organise car-sharing.

The nearest airports are Zurich and Geneva, which have direct flights from many European airports. Take the train from there to Interlaken-West (change trains in Bern).

From western Germany ICE trains run regularly to Interlaken-West via Basel. Or chance trains in Basel or Zurich.
