Tour de Boland and Cape Town Cycle Tour
Dazzling South Africa – 2/03-11/03/2019This Epic Climbs trip cannot be booked at the moment!
On the list of possibles
The route of the Cape Argus Bike Race (now Cape Town Cycle Tour) is one of the most beautiful in the world. So it's not surprising that it is also the biggest bike race in the world. Taking part in that is the main reason behind this Epic Climbs trip. To put it simply: every cyclist should experience the atmosphere and the glorious route around the Cape of Good Hope once in their life. Whether you choose to treat the event as a race or as a relaxed ride, it will be the highlight of a fantastic week's cycling in South Africa.
Clearly, we will not be taking a long-haul flight just for the race, but we shall be getting to know the colourful country, beginning with the pulsating metropolis of Cape Town, on the six-day Tour de Boland, which is planned and run by enthusiastic South Africans. For once, then, there will not be three Epic Guides on hand. Epic Climbs’ top man, Jan, will be there but will entrust you fully to our South African friends from the Tour de Boland, who are working hard to rival us for the title “Best Team in the World“!
We shall spend four of the nine nights in the centre of Cape Town. We are just a stone's throw from bustling Long Street, while the start line for the Cape Town Cycle Tour is also within walking distance. We are right at the heart of things. We are in a great hotel.
Experience the Tour de Boland. Experience the Cape region. Experience Cape Town! It’ll be fantastic!
The price of the holiday does not include flights. Depending on when you book and where you fly from, these should cost 700-900 euros. Add to this the cost of transporting your bike, usually 90 euros each way for intercontinental flights, and the total will be between 900 and 1100 euros.
We need to coordinate the arrival and departure times, so we would prefer to book the flights for you. We will bill you these at cost price.
