Today is our last day of the tour as such. Firstly, to get warm, we crank up to the Suspiro de Moro. Sneakily, it then carries on upwards. Does this climb look familiar to you? - right! The day that we rode over the Cabra to Granada, we came down here. But this time, at the top on the climb's double-summit we turn off towards the west. Here again, we come up against a completely different landscape, with olive tress and views of the bare peaks of the Sierra Tejeda and their smaller sisters on the horizon. Past the pretty, turquoise Bermejales Reservoir we head for Alhama de Granada, one of the places that were so bitterly fought over during the Reconquista. We, though, fight to hold back our first tears, as the tour is heading towards its end. We pass through moderate terrain to Ventas de Zafarraya - and shortly afterwards a real flying descent to our goal in Viñuela beside the reservoir of the same name. Done, feet up or in the water, Chillomat at the hotel bar, and peacefully watch the sun go down behind the surrounding mountains.
