Mont Ventoux, the Giant of Provence. Without a doubt, this is the best-known and the best reason for straying into this area with your bike. But the surrounding region offers such an incredible amount more than Mont Ventoux, that we could have found more than just a week's worth of rides without there ever being a moment's boredom. The glorious Drôme Provençale, the lonely Diois, the wild Plateau de Vaucluse. Pine forests, aromatic garrigue, cliffs, gorges, panoramas. A seemingly infinite choice of practically traffic-free mountain roads. Challenging ascents, comfortable flowing sections, the bunch sweeping through the valleys of the Ouvèze and the Eygues. And Provence's renowned flair, with its triple attractions of wine, olives and lavender, which can perhaps be best experienced at the marché provençal in our ideally situated base town of Buis-les-Baronnies.

In May the season is well under way, and you may already have one training camp behind you, or put lots of big miles in at home. Now, on our Provence Training Week in Buis-les-Baronnies, you can continue to hone your form under the southern sun, developing further harmony between head and legs. Or just have a great cycling holiday in a lovely area.

Get fit and holiday at the same time!

The Guides

Getting there

From Germany via Freiburg - Mulhouse - Lyons on France’s A7 to the Bollène exit. Then take the D94 towards Nyons and then via Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, Puyméras and Mollans-sur-Ouvèze to Buis-les-Baronnies.

From southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland and via Zurich - Geneva - Valence on France's A7.

We recommend you use our internal forum to organise car-sharing.

The nearest airport is Marseilles-Provence, which has direct flights from several German airports.

Take the regional train from the airport to Orange, then take the inter-city bus.

We recommend that people car-share (use our customer forum to link up), as getting to Buis by public transport is very complicated and tiresome.

By high-speed train (TGV) to the Avignon TGV station. Take the regional train from there to Orange, and then the inter-city bus to Buis-les-Baronnies.

We recommend that people car-share (use our customer forum to link up), as getting to Buis by public transport is very complicated and tiresome.

Hard group
